I can't believe that week 6 just ended. It seems like we just started. Looking back, there has been so much happening and that is contributed to my lack of updates.
To recap, I am very pleased with my running numbers. I'm have had to miss some days, but I just obtained a road bike that I will be using to make up the missed miles. On New Years Day I set my personal best times for a 5k, 1k and 1 mile. My times have gotten steady better over this time. Still getting some aches and pains but hoping that the biking will take some of the pressure off my joints.
Due to my 3 business trips and winter break for the dojo, my sparring numbers are way behind. I look forward to getting in as much extra sparring time as possible in the dojo. Please let me know if you want to help me catch up when we are in the dojo after class.
Everything else on my black belt plan is moving along, it's not going as good as I want but the important thing is that is is still going along. There are still 46 more weeks to go and I am confidant that I will be able to make up missed days/reps.
In other news, my wife and I found out right before new years that we are going to have another child! We are so very excited and looking forward to the new addition to our family.
I will be trying my best to get back to weekly updates for week 7. Looking forward to being back in the dojo tomorrow evening!
